"A bad day of golf beats the best day of work"
Join us for a day of golf while supporting the Army JROTC program
Magruder High School is home to the only Army JROTC program in Montgomery County, MD. The program was founded in 1983 and draws in students from the surrounding high schools such as Sherwood HS and Rockville HS.
The Army JROTC program is one of the largest character development and citizenship programs for youths in the world. The curriculum provides equitable and challenging academic content and authentic learning experiences covering academics, physical fitness, and citizenship. Nationwide, JROTC students have demonstrated increased attendance, higher graduation rates, reduced disciplinary actions and dropout rates, and higher GPAs.
Two years ago, the parents were asked to help the JROTC program by taking the fundraising out of the classroom and allow the cadets to be students, instead of sales people. It was in 2017 that the Eagle Battalion Booster Club was formed and officially became a 501(c)3 proudly supporting the only Army JROTC program on Montgomery County. Our mission is to promote the JROTC program and cadets through a positive presence in the community and provide funding for the betterment of the program.
